Camp Staff Opportunities
Greater St. Louis Area Scouting is looking for dedicated and passionate individuals to serve on 2027 summer camp staff who can help provide a fun, positive experience for campers. Camp Staff also have the opportunity to earn a college scholarship* worth up to $1,250.
If you are looking for a rewarding summer job, camp is the place for you. We employ around 200 staff for the summer, positions include directors, lifeguards, program counselors, provisional leaders, food service, administrative staff, and others. Benefits include:
- Salaries range from $280-$450+ a week, paid weekly.
- Camp Staff Scholarship* for all Camps for staff in college or similar continued education.
- Free room and board for the duration of your time on staff.
- Rewarding work in a fun, educational environment.
- Gain experience and training while building valuable job skills.
*The camp staff scholarship is available for current staff members only. A camp staff member must complete the entire summer the year that the scholarship is requested.

2026 Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Application & Interviews
The Counselor In Training (CIT) Program allows Scouts that are 14 or 15 years old to participate for up to three weeks as a volunteer camp staff member. Participants will get the opportunity to work in several program areas, giving them the experience to decide if working as a full-time camp staff member in the future is something they would enjoy.
The program is conducted at Rhodes France Scout Reservation and Camp May. Lodging and meals will be provided. Applications will be available October 1, 2026.
After you apply, a Camp Director will reach out to schedule an interview with you.
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) Staff
NYLT courses in 2027. (Dates may change)
